Week #2 - MHA Whalers come away with two wins in week #2

On Saturday the MHA Whalers hosted the ProHockeyLife Harbour Storm in the home opener.  With the next door rivals playing each other the crowd was large and the players were pumped up for a great game.

Despite a last minute push by the Harbour Storm the MHA Whalers would not to be denied a win at their first home game in the Dartmouth Sportsplex, with a final score of 5-3.

Less than 24 hours later the MHA Whalers played host to the Scotsburn Crushers and the momentum carried over from Saturday's game.  Less than three minutes into the game Luke Henman put the MHA Whalers on the score board, and the boys never looked back.  Playing a sold three periods of hockey allowed the boys to finish with a score of 6-0 and Cole McLaren was able to earn his first major bantam shutout.
